Surviving are his wife, the former Ada MacIntyre, Willow Lodge, Tatamagouche; daughters, Mae Benjamin, Eileen, Truro; Julia Ann (Mrs. George VanDerSlyke), Malagash; sons, Hugh, Kenneth, Raymond, Truro; Charles, Malagash; Chester, Niagara Falls, Ont.; James, Burlington, Ont.; brother, Beaton, Amherst; 27 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his first wife, the former Muriel Smith; sons, Roy, Gordon; brothers, Ivan, Norman, Clinton, Charlie, Chester, Gordon; sisters, Dorothy, Ruth, Jean, Cora. Visitation 2-4, 7-9 p.m. today, funeral 2 p.m. Wednesday, both in Coulter's Funeral Home, Tatamagouche, Rev. Beth Johnston officiating. Spring burial in Wallace River Cemetery.
