  • Obituary: Langille, Charles "Charlie" Lester '96 77, Malagash, passed away November 7, 2015 in North Cumberland Memorial Hospital, Pugwash. Born in Wallace Bridge, he was the son of the late Simpson L. and Muriel L. (Smith) Langille. Charlie was a loving husband and father who worked at the salt mine in Pugwash as well as trucking for several businesses in the area as well as in western Canada. He was a good neighbour who would gladly give a helping hand. He liked to do wood working, go fishing and four wheeling and spending time with his grandchildren. Surviving are, his wife, Gladys (Harding); daughters, Mary Lou (Allan) Chambers; Helen (Tony) Selig; son, John; step-daughter, Mary Donovan (Mike Fleet); step-son, Richard (Terra) Dacey; grandchildren, Tina (Doug), Adam (Niki), Gary, Tyler, Kayla, Autumn, Brian, Alexcis, Bryceson and Ella; great grandchildren, Jasmin, Gary, Jake, Christina, Jakob, Jayden and Jace; brothers, Kenny (Pat); Raymond; James (Marilyn); brothers-in-law, George van der slyk and Calvin Joyce; several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by daughter, Terry Dowe; grandson, Joey; brothers, Gordon, Hughie, Chester and Roy; sisters, May Joyce, Eilleen Langille and Julie van der Slyk; former wife, Shirley (Taylor). No visitation by request. A memorial service will be held 2 p.m. Tuesday, November 10 in Coulter's Funeral Home (902-657-3288) 48 Riverside Dr., Tatamagouche, Pastor Tim Whidden officiating. Burial will be at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Canadian Diabetes Association or The War Amps would be appreciated.
