Although in failing health she had been remarkably keen and capable for her years and had only been confined to her bed for the past week. She was the daughter of the Mr and Mrs Sutherland McKenzie of Windermere. A member of the Berwick Baptist Church for over fifty years, she was a devout Christian and one whose influence for good has been widely felt in the community in which she lived. Mr and Mrs Rainforth celebrated their 67th wedding anniversary this year. Besides her husband, who is 97 and still active, there survive four daughters and two sons: Mrs Aubrey Dodge, Berwick West; Mrs Robert Palmer, Weston; Mrs George Hutchinson, Berwick; Mrs George Fancy, Morristown; Orland and Frank, Berwick West. There are also fourteen grandchildren and twenty-three great-grandchildren. Funeral will be held this (Wednesday) afternoon at 2 o'clock." Marriage Notice: Berwick Register July 17, 1935 "Celebrate Sixty-Sixth Wedding Anniversary -- Mr and Mrs Miles Rainforth, Berwick West, two of the oldest residents of the vicinity, celebrated their 66th wedding anniversary at their home on Monday. Mr and Mrs Rainforth, whose ages are 96 and 87 years respectively, are still active and enjoy a fair degree of health. They were married July 15, 1869, at the home of the bride's parents, the late Mr and Mrs S McKenzie, Berwick. Their children are all living and reside within a short distance of the old homestead.
