  • Obituary: Herald Online December 29, 1998 DEATH: Davidson, Mary Louise 74, Commercial Street, New Minas, died December 28, 1998 in Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville. Born in Wolfville, she was a daughter of the late Frank and Clara Belle Krumrei Murphy. After graduating from Wolfville High School, she was employed with MT&T until 1947. She was a member and Sunday school teacher at Wolfville Baptist Church in her earlier years. She had lived in Halifax and Middleton. She was active in church and community affairs, holding office as chairperson of the group committee of New Minas Girl Guilds and Scouting Movement. She held office in the Kings County Commercial Travellers Club, was past president of the Glooscap Curling Club, Kentville and was active in the Nova Scotia Figure Skating Association. She was co-owner, with her husband, of a dry cleaning establishment in Kentville for several years. She is survived by her husband, Walter; Son: Dwight, Halifax; brother: Eric, Truro; George, Reginald Wolfville; Paul, Cocoa Beach, Florida; grandsons: Colin, Matthew; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by son: Bruce; brothers:Roy, Vernon, Avard, Cyril. Visitation will be 2-4, 7-9 p.m. Wednesday in H.C. Lindsay Memorial Chapel, Wolfville. Funeral services will be held 3 p.m. Thursday in Wolfville Baptist Church, Rev. Dr. Das Sydney officiating. Burial at a later date in Willowbank Cemetery, Wolfville. Donations in memory to the Arthritis Society; VON, Kings Branch or charity of one's choice.
