  • Obituary: Carleton Sentinel June 21 1890 Andover, June 17 - Mrs. HOPKINS, sr. died at Aroostock Junction (victoria Co.) Saturday night. Messenger and Christian Visitor July 2 1890 d. Aroostock Junction (Victoria Co.) June 14, Caroline HOPKINS relict of late Dea. Daniel HOPKINS, age 79 years. Sister Hopkins, nee ARMSTRONG, early home was near Bridgewater, Annapolis Co., N.S. She was among the earliest settlers of the upper part of the St. John Valley. She was baptized by Elder Chase McMullen, F.C.B. who labored in connection with Elder Lothrop Hammond among the early settlers of this region. Sister Hopkins became a member of the Andover Baptist Church nearly sixty years ago at its organization. A large family of sons and daughters mourn their loss. The funeral exercises took place on June 17 which was participated in by Rev. Young of Carobou, Me. and R.O. Morse, Lic.
