  • Obituary: MORRISON, Susan Rosalie - 89, North Wallace, Cumberland Co., passed away peacefully March 4, 2007, in East Cumberland Lodge, Pugwash, with her family by her side. Born in Wallace Bay on November 17, 1917, she was a daughter of the late Barlow and Annie (Akerley) Langille. Susan was a wife, homemaker, mother, grandmother and great- grandmother. She enjoyed her family and friends, and the traveling she and her husband had done while he was working away. Susan was an avid reader and enjoyed watching television. She was a member of St. Andrew's United Church, Fox Harbour, and had served as a church elder. She had also served as a trustee of the North Wallace School. Susan had been an active member of the UCW and had been appointed an honorary church elder. Prior to moving to the East Cumberland Lodge, Susan had lived the past 16 years with her son Lewis and his family. Surviving are her daughters, Eva Thompson, Fox Harbour, and her four children; Elizabeth Morris, Hamilton, Ont., and her three children; Gertie (Ron) Cook, Truro, and their two children; Dollena MacKenzie, North Wallace, and her four children; son, Lewis (Marg) Morrison, North Wallace, and their seven children (two of which were George's children); 42 great- grandchildren; sister, Margaret Peers, Pugwash; two nieces and two nephews. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Kenneth Morrison; son, George Morrison; three grandchildren; two great-grandchildren ; brother, Carl Langille. Visitation will be held from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Wednesday, March 7, in Mundle's Funeral Home, 204 Water St., Pugwash (243-2506). The funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, March 8, in St. Andrew's United Church, Fox Harbour, Rev. Jane Doull officiating. Burial in Fox Harbour Cemetery.
