Obituary: Mrs. James MURPHY, 79, of Strathcona Place, Pictou, died Monday at the home of her daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Morris FREEMAN, Pictou. Born in Brule Point, she was the former Alva Edna LANGILLE , a daughter of the late Michael and Manitta (LANGILLE) LANGILLE. Former resident of River John, she resided in Pictou for the last 50 years, where she was a member of St. James Anglican Church. She is survived by three daughters, Pearl (Mrs. Morris FREEMAN), Pictou; Margaret (Mrs. Gerald ROZEE), Halifax, and Dorothy (Mrs. William MANTIN), Toronto; two sons, Lester and Milo, both of Pictou; a sister, Mrs. Mary Bell MacKINNON, Westville, and a brother, Percy LANGILLE, River John; 23 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, Capt. James Murphy, and a daughter, Ann (Mrs. Owen MacKENNA). The body will be in McLaren Funeral Home, Pictou, after 7 p.m. today, where funeral service will be 2p.m. Thursday, Rev. Cecil HEBB officiating. Burial will be in St. James Cemetery, Pictou. Donations may be made to St. James Anglican Church Memorial Fund.
