  • Obituary: LANGILLE, R. George - 85, Sanchez Avenue, Ormond Beach, Fla., passed away September 12, 1999, in Bowman's Health Care Centre-Ormond. Mr. Langille was born in Truro and moved to this area in 1963. He was wounded in action while serving in the Canadian Army during the Second World War, was retired since 1993 from a career as a plumbing and heating contractor in the Volusia area and was a member of Fountain of Life Church in Ormond. In his later years, he served as a plumbing consultant for the City of Ormond Building Advisory Board. He received a Legislative Resolution of Tribute for rescue work during the Moose River Gold Mine disaster in Nova Scotia in 1936. He loved fishing, his dog Casey and most of all, his family. Mr. Langille was predeceased by his brother, Andrew Langille and sister, Annie Khulback. He is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Dorothy A.; daughters, Dolores (Robert) Wood, Ottawa; Rosalie (Thomas) Riedel, Coral Springs, Fla.; Bonita (Edward) Harris, Mobile, Ala.; sons, Aaron (Cheryl) Langille, Truro; Ivan (Mai Joe) Langille, Ottawa; Martin G. (Susan) Langille, Ormond Beach, Fla.; Daniel (Terri) Langille, Ormond Beach, Fla.; sister, Miriam Varner, Truro; grandchildren, Stasia Langille Patterson, Amy Harris, Kimberly Langille, Rebecca Harris, Robert Langille, Katherine Langille, Elizabeth Langille, Ross Langille, Katherine Kelly Langille; and great-grandchildren, Kaylynn and Kendall Patterson.
