  • Obituary: Aaron Langille age 73, of Bible Hill, passed away peacefully surrounded by family in Colchester East Hants Heath Centre on November 22, 2016. Aaron was born in Truro on November 19, 1943. As a young man he apprenticed his father doing plumbing and heating, worked as a bookkeeper, was the co-owner of The Abbey Restaurant in Shubenacadie, and later established his own successful plumbing and heating business Langille's Plumbing and Heating with slogan "Don't sleep with a drip, call me"! Aaron married his wife Cheryl Baxendale of Sydney Mines, on June 8, 1968, and they later gave birth to to their only child Kimberly on Aaron's birthday in 1977. During his early heating/plumbing years, Aaron was often seen taking his young daughter, his "little helper" on service calls while his wife worked shifts nursing at the hospital. Aaron vowed to never retire as plumbing and understanding how things worked were his passions. He worked right up until the end. He was best known for his strong work ethic, honesty, fairness, and salt of the earth nature. Plumber, gardener, lover of animals and nature, fisherman, weather enthusiast, he touched the lives of many and will be dearly missed. Husband, father, "favourite" plumber, and friend until we meet again, "Take it Easy". He is survived by his beloved wife, Cheryl; daughter, Kimberly (Michael); mother, Dorothy; siblings, Dolores, Rosalie (Tom), Bonita (Ed), Ivan (Mai), Martin (Susan), Daniel (Terry). A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, December 11, from 2-5 p.m. in the Truro Horseman's Club, Truro Racetrack. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the We Care About Cancer Fund of Colchester East Hants Heath Authority, Palliative Care Services.
