Born in Belmont, he was a son of the late David and Mabel (Knight) Teed. He was a former employee of Wilson's Body Shop, Truro. He is survived by his wife, the former Sylvia Turner; a son, David, Debert; five daughters, Mrs. Odessa Shearer and Kathy (Mrs. Malcolm O'Toole), both of Truro; Valerie (Mrs. William MacKinnon) and Hazel (Mrs. John McKay), both of Lower Onslow; Linda (Mrs. Bob Reade), Belmont; four sisters, Ellen (Mrs. Reg McLeod), New Glasgow; Hazel (Mrs. John Turkitch), Manitoba; Laura (Mrs. Carlos Turner) and Florence (Mrs. Luther Turner), both of Belmont; two brothers, Oscar and Edgar, both of Belmont; nine grandchildren and a great grandson. He was predeceased by a daughter, Marsha; a brother, Lawrence. The body is in the Mattatall Funeral Home, Truro, with visiting 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. today, and where funeral will be held 2 p.m. Friday, Rev. Whitney Dalrymple officiating. Burial in Belmont Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Lower Onslow United Church. Frances Teed married Luther Turner & they had 6 children.
