Son of the late Albert and Suzanna (Keogh) Watson (of Wind-sor Junction). Andy graduated from high school at age 11 and went on to St. Ann's College for four years. He ran away and joined the Army at Al-dershot but was discovered under age. He later joined the Navy where he served for 21 years as pay-writer. He was a volunteer in the Korean War. He enjoyed sports and taught both girls and boys hockey and baseball. Andy was a fundraiser for the first Windsor Junction Commu-nity Centre. He loved to garden, do preserves and cook. He could knit well and made sweaters, mitts and caps, in later years sending mitts and caps to the Indian children at the South Dakota Indian Reserve. He gave most of his garden away. He enjoyed a good joke or story and card playing. Andy loved attending the various Highland Games events. He was a founder of the Pipes and Drums of Clan Farquharson, a Life Member of the Clan Lamont Society of Canada, and a Life Member of the Chief and Petty Officers Associ-ation at Windsor Park and a long term member of the Royal Cana-dian Legion Branch 162. Formerly married to Shirley Hyslop of Truro. children, Marilyn Riggs (deceased), Paul (Janet), Andrea Little, Brian (Ruth), Terri-Lynn Collins. Survived by his wife of 37 years, Jean and step-sons, Cyril (Janet), Angus (Regina) and Reg (Kelly) MacKaracher and many grandchildren, great-grand-children, nieces and nephews; and sister, Evelyn Roy of Moncton.
