  • Obituary: Age 98 years of St. Croix, passed away on June 8, 2022 in Valley Regional Hospital. Born on September 8, 1923, he was a son of the late Walter and Gertrude (Walker) Cochrane. Bill is survived by his devoted wife of 69 years, Lillian (Allen); beloved daughters, Janet of Halifax; and Nancy of St. Croix; and sister, Doris Randle of Meaford, Ont. Predeceased by his brothers, Walter, Laurence, Fred; sister, Iris; and three children in infancy. Bill worked at Nova Scotia Textiles then joined RCNVR at the start of the Second World War. Once returning home he worked for Minas Basin until his retirement. He was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch No. 09 in Windsor for 70 years. Family flowers only. Donations in memory of Bill may be made to the charity of your choice. A graveside service will be held on Monday, June 13th at 1 p.m. from Ste. Croix Cemetery (masks recommended).
