Norris, of Hilton Head Island, SC, died Monday, November 15, 2004 at the Hawthorne Inn. She was born January 18, 1915 in West Springfield, MA, daughter of William and Eliza Brunlund Stimpson. She received her education in local schools and was married to Frank Norris. Mrs. Norris moved to Hilton Head Island in July of 2002. Mrs. Norris was a homemaker and an active member of the First Presbyterian Church in Greensboro, NC, for over 35 years where she was a church volunteer, and a member of the Friendship Group, the Bethany Group and the Arts and Crafts Group. She was an avid gardener and swimmer, and did volunteer work at the hospital. While in West Springfield, MA, she was an active member of the Ramapogue Group at the Mittineague Congregational Church. Elizabeth was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Frank A. Norris. A memorial service will be held Friday, November 19, 2004 at 11 a.m. at the First Presbyterian Church, Greensboro, NC, with Reverend Fred Horner officiating. Inurnment will be in the church columbarium. Memorial contributions may be made to the First Presbyterian Church, 617 North Elm Street, Greensboro, NC 27408. The Island Funeral Home and Crematory is in charge of arrangements.
