  • Obituary: At Tremont, on January 2nd, the community met with a great loss in the passing of one of its most highly esteemed citizens, Milton E. Baker. One week before his death he had seemed in his usual health, when suddenly stricken with paralysis, from which he never recovered. He was widely known and much loved and respected by all who knew him. For many years he was Postmaster at Tremont. The Lower Aylesford Church of which he had been a member for many years has suffered a great loss in his passing. Living near the church, he and his wife were always in attendance at all services and ready and willing to assist in every way. For several years he has been church clerk. Much sympathy is extended to his wife and sisters, Mrs. Alma Jewell, and Miss Annie Baker of Wollaston, Mass., who came to help care for him, the last few days of his life. The funeral was largely attended, being conducted by Parson Neilson, with Oddfellows sharing in the service. The floral tributes were many, including a large wreath from the Lower Aylesford Church. The music was rendered by a make choir and a solo by Mr. A.H. Hilton. May the Heavenly Father give comfort and strength to the bereaved ones. Outlook Middleton,NS January 23,1930
