Born in Milford, Hants County, he was a son of Laura (MacIntosh) Dalrymple, Admiral Rock, and the late Elmer Dalrymple. He had been a resident of Admiral Rock for the past 20 years, previously a resident of Windsor Junction. He was a retired checker with the CNR and a member and active worker at Admiral Rock United Church. He is survived by his wife, the former Blanche Hines; three sons, Laurie, Sutton, Ont.; Donald, Kinsac, Halifax County; Richard, Admiral Rock; three daughters, Marion Fazio, Stewiacke; Linda Vaughan, Anne Weir, both of Admiral Rock; two brothers, Harry, Sarnia, Ont.; James (Sam), Dutch Settlement; three sisters, Frances Lind, Dartmouth; Jean Osmond, Bedford; Betty Vaughan, Lake Fletcher; 16 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by three brothers, Ralph (Mike), Clarence (Kay), Douglas; sister, Dorothy (Dot). Visitation will be 24, 7-9 p.m. today in Ettinger Funeral Home, Shubenacadie and 11 a.m.-4 p.m. Tuesday in Admiral Rock United Church, where funeral will be 4 p.m. Tuesday, Rev. Chris Ryan officiating. Burial will be in Admiral Rock Cemetery. Donations may be made to Admiral Rock Cemetery Fund.
