• Obituary: Florence Marion Smith, 69, 160 Braemar Dr., Dartmouth, died Monday following a short illness. Born in Dartmouth, she was a daughter of the late David and Maud (Richards) Ross. She was a lifelong resident of Dartmouth. She is survived by her husband, Donald; four sons, David and Ross, both of Dartmouth; John and Robert, both of Wilton, N.Y.; a daughter, Helen (Mrs. Hurley Langille), Dartmouth; three brothers, Donald, Halifax; Gerald and Clarence, both of Dartmouth; two sisters, Kathleen (Mrs. Gordon Myra) and Edith (Mrs. Harold Garland), both of Halifax; 12 grandchildren. She was predeceased by a son, Donald; a brother, Wilfred. The body is in J. Albert Walker and Sons Funeral Home, Dartmouth, where visiting is 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. today and where funeral service will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, Kenneth Hiltz officiating. Burial will be in Dartmouth Memorial Gardens.
