Obituary: 1946 Bridgewater Bulletin
The death occurred Sunday, June 23, of Waldron Nichols, after an illness of several months. He was the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. William Nichols and was born at Barss Corner 76 years ago. After spending eighteen years in the United States he returned to Barss Corner where he has resided ever since. The funeral was held on Tuesday, June 25th, from his home, the services being conducted by the Rev. Mr. Palmer, assisted by Rev. H. S. Hartlen. The pallbearers were Fred C. deLong, Geo. Palmer, Edwin Fancy, and Howard Silver. He is survived by his wife, who, before marriage was Lalia Wood of Lakeville, Kings County; one daughter, (Marion) Mrs. Warren Ramey; two grand daughters, Madeline and Velma Ramey; one brother, Hartt of Barss Corner; and one sister, Emma of Shrewsbury, U.S.A. One brother, Oswald and three sisters, Adelaide; Janie (Mrs. George deLong) and Eunice (Mrs. Daniel Durland) predeceased him.
