She is survived by her children, Keith (Sheryl), Truro, Donna (John) Ogilvie, White Rock, BC, Kathy (Leonard) Dykens, Falmouth, Eric (Andrée),Ottawa, Lois (John Robben) Walker, Truro; sister, Marie (Edgar) Sinclair; nine grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and in-laws. She was predeceased by her husband, Donald Miller; her parents, Dimock and Katherine Cole as well as three brothers and four sisters. Hazel taught at several schools throughout her career, the last being Princess Margaret Rose in Truro. She will be remembered for her warm smile, generous spirit and her love of children and animals. The family would like to thank the staff of the Palliative Care Unit for their compassionate care. No visitation by request. A memorial service will be held at Colchester Community Funeral Home, 512 Willow Street, Truro on Thursday, September 3 at 11:00 am, Rev. Sandra Cox officiating. A private interment will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of choice.
