Born in Truro, she was a daughter of Lawrence "Larry" Cole, Tatamagouche, and Doris Cole (Dennis Tattrie), Tatamagouche. Janet was employed at Lillian Fraser Memorial Hospital. She enjoyed making wine, yoga, painting, spending time with her grand babies but, especially loved Christmas. Also surviving are, her husband, Wendell Cole; step-children, Cora Lee Dowding and her children, Bailey and Hayden; Terry (Julie) Cole, and their children, Bryanna and Braycen; Sandy (Shelagh) Cole and their children, Kendra and Peyton; sisters, Sue and Heather; brother, Allen; sister-in-law, Eleanor (Bill) Clark; her chosen sisters, Connie Langille and Sharon Fraser; her chosen mother, Penny Brownell. She was predeceased by her son-in-law, Jo Dowding and parents-in-law, Ernest and Elsie Cole. Cremation has taken place. No funeral service by request. A time to celebrate Janet's life will be held from 2-4 p.m. on Sunday, February 26, 2017 in the Royal Canadian Legion in Tatamagouche. Memorial donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Lillian Fraser Memorial Hospital Auxiliary would be appreciated.
