Surviving are his wife, Hazel; sister, Dorothy Niles; stepdaughters, Catherine Chapman, Angela Wallace; stepsons, Stephen Cole, Danny Cole; half-sister, Irene Hickey; half-brothers, Eldon Porter, Rev. Morley Bentley, Stanley Tupper. He was predeceased by sister, Joyce Harrison; brother, William. Cremation has taken place. Spring committal in Mapleton Cemetery. Donations to any charity. Arrangements entrusted to Campbell's Funeral Home. www.campbellsfh.com Ernest Willigar, age 73, of East Mapleton, NS passed away at the Cumberland Regional Health Care Center Thursday April 8, 2004. He was a son of the late Urias Willigar and Vivian (Porter) Willigar Tupper. Ernie worked for Cumberland Paving for many years doing various paving jobs. He was a maple and blueberry producer and also a member of the United Church of Canada. Surviving in addition to his wife Hazel (Estabrooks) are sister Dorothy Niles of Truro, NS, step-daughters Catherine (Ken) Chapman of Oshawa, ONT,,and Angela (Troy) Wallace of Lawerancetown, NS, step-sons Stephen (Audrey) Cole of Springhill, NS and Danny Cole of Midland, ONT, half-sister Irene (Maurice) Hickey of Halifax, NS, Half-brothers Eldon (Shirley) Porter of Amherst Head, NS, Rev. Morley (Margaret) Bentley of Tatamagouche, NS and Stanley (Jean) Tupper of Powell River, BC, four step-grandsons and several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, Ernie was predeceased by his sister Joyce Harrison and his brother William Willigar. By his request, cremation has taken place and a graveside committal will take place in the spring in the Mapleton Cemetery. Donations may be made to the charity of donor’s choice.
