  • Obituary: Bridgewater Bulletin December 7,1959 Henry Foster Davison, well known resident of Lunenburg County, passed away at his home in Pleasantville early on Sunday morning. Although not in the best of health, his death was unexpected. Mr. Davison was born at Bridgewater 56 years ago, a son of Mrs. Archie F. Davison and the late Mr. Davison. He was educated in the Bridgewater School, Kings Collegiate and Kings College. He served his country in the Second World War as a captain in the Royal Canadian Artillery. After the war, he lived for a few years in Annapolis, then purchased a home in Pleasantville where he has lived ever since. He was engaged in the export lumber business. For several years he has represented his district on the Council of the Municipality of Lunenburg, and served as a member of the Municipal School Board. He was actively interested in providing educational facilities for the county. Mr. Davison was a member of the Bridgewater Branch No. 24, Canadian Legion, and Acacia Lodge, A.F. and A.M. He is survived by his widow, the former Joye Fenton of Saint John; a daughter, Catherine Val and a son, Stuart, both at home; his mother, Mrs. Archie Davison of Bridgewater; a brother, C.Donald Davison of Halifax; and a sister, Catherine (Mrs. Fred Leavitt), of Pointe-a-Pierre, Trinidad. The funeral service was held on Tuesday afternoon at 2:30 in Holy Trinity Anglican Church and was conducted by the Rector, Rev. Farwell.
