'97 Evelyn J. "Tootie" Miller, 70, of Washington Street, Strattanville, died at 4:50 p.m. Thursday, March 13, 2003, at Clarion Hospital. Born April 29, 1932, in Strattanville, she was a daughter of Grace Corbet Kisner. Mrs. Miller was a member of the First Baptist Church. She enjoyed reading, crafts and her family. She was married Sept. 9, 1949, to Richard A. Miller, who survives. Also surviving are her mother, Grace Corbet Kisner of Vail, Ariz.; four daughters, Mrs. Carter (Betty) Henry of Strattanville, Mrs. James (Kathy) Oakes of Shippenville, Mrs. Larry (Sandy) Shook of Sligo and Carol Ann Miller of Strattanville; and a son, Donald A. Miller of Pittsburgh. Survivors also include a brother, Don Kisner of Vail, Ariz.; seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and a number of aunts, nephews, nieces and cousins. She was preceded in death by a son, Robert "Spade" Miller on Jan. 1, 1997; and her step-father, Raymond Kisner. Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. today and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the Robert V. Burns Funeral Home of Clarion and from 10 to 11 a.m. Monday in the First Baptist Church of Clarion. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday in the church with the Rev. Keith Richardson, pastor of the church, officiating. Interment will be in Cedarview Memorial Park near Strattanville. The family suggests memorials be made to the First Baptist Church of Clarion or the oncology department of the Clarion Hospital.
