Dead are the driver, Daniel Lee Noah, 24, of 4727 SE 35th Av., Portland, and his passenger, Nancy K. Whitman, 25, of Canby, said Oregon State Police. Police said the vehicle was heading south at a high rate of speed when it failed to negoitiate a gentle curve. Police said it skidded 496 feet before impact.
