  • Obituary: WHITE, Kenneth Wayne 'Kenny' '97 59, North Noel Road, passed away peacefully with his family by his side on Friday, January 20, 2012, at home. Born on September 20, 1952, in North Noel Road, he was a son of the late An-nie (George) White and Marvin Har-vie. Kenny was a carpenter by trade and worked for Dora Construction. He enjoyed spending time with the guys at the garage in Kennetcook. He loved his time with his dog 'Buddy' but his children and his grandchildren were his pride and joy. Kenny is survived by his wife, Shelley (White); sons, Mor-gan (Kelsi), Michael (Melissa); daugh-ters, Jasmine and Kendra (Gary) MacAskill; grandchildren, Alayna and Nolan MacAskill and Chance and Cor-bin White; siblings, Leon (Sheila) White, Ladene (Laurie) Hunter, Dou-gie (Josephine) White, Roma (Erick) Russell, Cindy White and stepbrother, Laurie (Ella) White. Besides his par-ents, he was predeceased by his sister, Lillias Goodwin and brother, Cory White. Visitation will be held today from 7-9 p.m. and funeral service will be Tuesday, January 24 at 11 a.m., both in J. Wilson Allen Funeral Home, Highway 354, Kennetcook, Chuck Pa-terson officiating. Private family buri-al in Moose Brook Cemetery, Moose Brook followed by a reception in Little White Hall, Noel Road. Family flowers only. Donations can be made to Cana-dian Cancer Society or charity of choice. The family would like to thank doctors, nurses and staff of the Nova Scotia Cancer Centre, Dickson Cen-tre, palliative care team and the VON for all their help and generous care.
