Born in Upper Rawdon, he was the son of Ellen (Weatherhead) MacPhee, Upper Rawdon, and the late Owen Bliss MacPhee. Laurie worked as a carpenter in Nova Scotia and Western Canada, he was a member of Local 83 Carpenters Union. He was a member of the Upper Rawdon United Church. Laurie had an interest in antique vehicles, in particular his 1948 Mercury truck. Surviving are brothers, Gary (Pat), Marvin (Alfreda), David (Debbie), Danny, all of Upper Rawdon; nephews, Shawn, Shannon, Clinton, and nieces, Michelle, Annette and Jodi. He was predeceased by nephew, Shane. Special thanks to Dr. Michelle MacLean and the Palliative Care staff. Visitation will be held 7-9 p.m. today in Withrow-MacMillan Funeral Home, Upper Nine Mile River. Funeral service 2 p.m. Sunday, September 26, in Upper Rawdon United Church, Rev.
