  • Obituary: Chronicle Herald Halifax,NS September 27,2008 MacPHEE, Ellen Elizabeth - 89, Upper Rawdon, passed away at the Windsor Elms, Windsor, September 25, 2008. Born in Upper Rawdon, she was a daughter of the late Clinton and Eliza (Lacey) Weatherhead. She was an active member of the Upper Rawdon United Church. Ellen loved to go for backroad drives through the country with family and friends, especially in the autumn to see the fall colours. She worked as a cook at the Scotia Nursing Home for almost 15 years. Ellen was a people person and loved to be surrounded by family and many dear friends. She will be sadly missed by sons, Gary (Pat) MacPhee, Marvin (Alfreda) MacPhee, David (Debbie) MacPhee, Danny MacPhee, all of Upper Rawdon; grandchildren Shawn MacPhee, Michelle Fletcher, Annette Cox, Shannon MacPhee, Clinton MacPhee, Jodi Rae MacPhee; 10 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Owen; son Laurie; grandson, Shane; brothers, Thomas Weatherhead, Clyde Weatherhead, Earl Weatherhead, Everett Weatherhead; sisters, Dora Webb and Lucy Weatherhead. Visitation 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. today in Ettinger Funeral Home, 2812 Main St., Shubenacadie, with funeral service 2 p.m. Sunday in St. David's United Church, Upper Rawdon, Rev. Iain Macdonald officiating. Interment in Upper Rawdon Cemetery.
