  • Obituary: Darlene M. Lewing-Dawson, 82 went to be with our Lord on Easter Sunday, April 12, 2020 peacefully at her residence. Darlene was born in Bozeman, Montana on November 27, 1938. She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Dawson, and husband, Kenneth "Wayne" Lewing, parents Montana Myrtle and Harry Vincent, brothers, Tommy Vincent, Walter "Gene" Vincent, Harry "Bun" Vincent. She is survived by sisters Reva Weisbeck (husband, Dean) of Lakewood, CO and Gertrude "Trudy" Miller of Townsend, MT She is also survived by: son, Edward Lewing of Shreveport, LA, daughter, Connie (husband, Kurt) of Loveland, CO, Donna Wise (husband, Thomas), of DeBerry, TX and John David (wife, Onsee) of Las Vegas, NV and two step-children, Sheila Schultz of Gulfport, MS and Wayne Dawson (wife, Cecilia) of Van Cleave, MS; grandchildren: Chelsea Smith-Nelson (husband, Stuart) of Washington DC, Carlea Wallace (husband Zach) of Laramie, WY, Morgan Dixon of Shreveport, LA and McKaylyn Dixon of Shreveport, LA, step grandchildren: Zack Dawson of Evansville, IN, Hannah Eddingfield (husband, Alec) of Van Cleave, MS, Emily Dawson of Gulfport, MS, Ashley Schultz-Tennyson (husband, Jonathan), grandchildren Faith Marie and Hope Tennyson and numerous nieces and nephews. Darlene's faith in God led her to touch many people's lives and she never met a stranger, always had a listening ear and a big bear hug for those she loved and cared for. Darlene was proud of her family, her children & grand-children's and especially their military service. She left a legacy in genealogy research, helping people and worked as a teacher's aide and private home health sitter for many years. A memorial service is planned for November 27 held in Biloxi, MS where Darlene Dawson's cremated ashes will buried with her husband Don at the Biloxi National Cemetery followed by a family reunion over the following weekend.
