Interment will be at Hillcrest Memorial Park. Mrs. Stubbs died March 14, 1997, in an Oklahoma City hospital. She was born Aug. 25, 1941, in Evansville, Ind., to Joe R. and Frances McDaniel Smith. A lifelong resident of Ardmore, she married George Stubbs Jan. 14, 1961, in Ardmore, and was a merchandiser for the Ambassador Greeting Card Co. She was a member of Asbury Methodist Church and Carter County Homemakers Extension's Triangle Club. She was a volunteer at Mercy Memorial Hospital and the Battered Women's Shelter. Survivors include her husband, of the home; three sons, George Jr., Lake Tenkiller, Joe, Ardmore, and Brandon, Okmulgee; a daughter, Deborah Buehler, Rowlett, Texas; her mother and stepfather, Frances and Wade South, Ardmore; a brother, J.
