Born in Truro, he was a son of the late Thomas and Janet Baird. Vince was the general manager of Hollis Ford in Truro for 25 years. He was a kind and gentle man who enjoyed golf and curling, but he especially loved to travel. He is survived by his spouse, Rita Houghton, and brother, Tom (Betty) and their sons, Tom, Stephen, and Robert. He is also survived by his uncle, Eldon Cock, and other nieces and nephews. Vince was predeceased by his wife, Mary (McLellan). Cremation has taken place, and burial in Truro will be held at a later date. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of C.L.
