C., where he was attending school and is confined to the house by illness. The Evening Times Grand Forks,ND 22 Mar,1910 ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ The friends [sic] of Harlan Upham, only son of Mr. and Mrs. Nate Upham, was held Monday afternoon at the residence at 3 o'clock, Rev. Erickson of Drayton conducting the services. The school children viewed the remains from 1 to 2 o'clock. The interment was made at Drayton Monday evening in the family lot. Four young boys from the agricultural college, Messrs. Olhus, Boone, Donnelly, Thompson, and two of his intimate friends, Newell Chandler and Vernon Sprague, acted as pallbearers. Harlan had been a patient sufferer for some months from tuberculosis. On March 11 he gave up his school work at the A. C., and since then has been confined to his bed. He lived to reach the age of 17 on July 2. The end came peacefully and the poor tired body now has complete rest. Besides the mother and father, he leaves three sisters to mourn his loss.
