  • Obituary: PROSSER, WELDON HENRY - 89, of Petitcodiac passed away Friday evening, October 23, 2009 at the Salvation Army, Lakeview Manor, Riverview. Born in Lewis Mountain he was a son of the late Howard and Martha (Lane) Prosser. Weldon was an Imperial Oil Agent serving the Petitcodiac area for over 45 years. A good and faithful servant he was a longtime active member of Petitcodiac Baptist Church where he served for many years as a Deacon, Trustee, Choir Member, Hospital Visitation and in the Sunday School program and in his leisure time enjoyed hunting and fishing. Survived by his beloved wife of 64 years Dorothy (Milton); his children, Brenda Crossman (Wayne) of Orleans On., Larry of Riverview; cherished granddaughters, Lyndsie Prosser (Jason Tompkins) of Halifax, Karen Ann Crossman of Ottawa; great granddaughters, Amber and Brianna; sisters, Mildred Prosser of Petitcodiac, Verna Cochrane (Arnold) of Hamilton; brothers, Lloyd (Betty) of Hamilton, Donald (Mary) of New Hamburg On., Earl (Rose) of Smithville On., Stewart of Lakeburn and by several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his sister, Lois. Resting at the Salisbury Funeral Home, 3350 Salisbury Road with visiting Tuesday 7 to 9 pm and from where the Funeral will be Wednesday, October 28 at 1:30 pm with Rev. Gordon Cook officiating. Interment at Fairhaven Cemetery, Moncton. If desired memorials to the Petitcodiac Baptist Church, or the Lakeview Manor would be appreciated by the family.
