She was born September 15, 1937 in Queens, NY, daughter of Nancy (Sidoti) Ganci of Windsor, CT and the late Anthony Ganci and had lived in Simsbury, CT for many years prior to retiring to Florida. Rosalie attended of Oswego College of New York. Mrs. Christensen worked in the Asset Management Services Department of The Hartford ITT Division as a supervisor in the Individual life and Annuities Division and later became an Instruction Specialist in the Corporate Education Department for 16 years prior to her retirement. While at the Hartford Rosalie volunteered on many committees as well as organized charity events. She received the RVERSA award from the National Employee Services and Recreation Association while at the Hartford. She was previously President, Vice President and Secretary for Farmington Valley Association for Retarded & Handicapped Inc, Favarh for many years where she received Favarh's Extra Miler Award as well as many other recognitions for her volunteer work. She also previously worked for Security Insurance Company. She had taught at St. Mary's Catholic School in Simsbury. Besides her loving husband of 39 years and her mother, she is survived by her son, Donald W. Christensen and wife Donna of Agawam, MA; her daughter, Debra M. Sigman of Middleburg, FL; her son, George D. Christensen and wife Fay Christensen of Winsted, CT and granddaughter, Brooks Licourt her husband Jorge and great grandson Giovanni, granddaughters, Paige Christensen, Abby Christensen; her son, John W. Christensen of Arizona and grandchildren, Jordan and Leaha Christensen; her daughter, Nancy Romanelli and husband Mike of Windsor, CT and grandchildren Nicole and Lauren Romanelli; her son, Anthony J. Christensen and wife Donna of Windsor and granddaughter, Nina Christensen; grandchildren, Cheyenne Christensen, Raymond Christensen, Josh Christensen, Sean Christensen; her brother, Mike Ganci and wife Marianna of Newinton, CT; her brother, Joseph Ganci and wife Joan of Palm Coast, FL and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her daughter, Cheryl Christensen.
