Born in Tatamagouche, she was a daughter of the late Lambert and Jean E. (Murray) Patriquin. Thelda spent most of her working life as a personal care worker either at Sunset Adult Residential Centre or in home private care. She loved gardening and quilting and enjoyed baking when she was younger. She was an avid reader with a great sense of humor, was straightforward with people and very generous and considerate of others. Surviving are her daughters, Sharon Hunt, Debra Cameron, Lisa (Allan) MacEachern and Kelly Stonehouse; grandchildren, Courtney, Brittany, Haley, Devon, Jenna, Hannah, Lauren, Ashley, Tristan, Lacey, Shane, Dylan, Jacob, Tessa, Gracie and Abbie; great-grandchildren, Gage, Wake, Susie, Autumn and Ellie; sisters, Eleanor (Joe) Lockhart, Maxine (Arden) Hayman, Vivian (Glenn) Harpell, Wanda (Joe) Brown, Barbara (John) Mills and Connie Carmichael; brother, David (Linda) Patriquin; Also survived by her long-time companion, Charles Fortune; many nieces and nephews all close to her heart. She was predeceased by her former husband, Gary Angevine; daughters, Julie and Susan "Susie" Angevine-Patriquin; grandsons, Nathan and Jordan; sons-in-law, Steven McNutt and Bernard "Corky" Hunt; brother, Gary; Nephew, Morgan Patriquin; niece, Melody Lockhart. Visitation will 7-9 p.m. Thursday, May 4 in Coulter's Funeral Home, Tatamagouche. Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Friday, May 5 in the funeral home. Interment later in Mount Pleasant Cemetery.
