Born in Granville Centre she was the only daughter of the late LeRoy and Bessie (MacLean) Willett. She was a cofounder of the Historic Restoration Enterprises, a member of the Annapolis Historical Association as well as being very active in many community activities throughout the years. She will be remembered by many for her work on Genealogy. In her retirement years, she was active in the Valley Senior Games, the Joshua Slocum Centennial Society, the Valley Stamp Club as well as continuing her volunteer work. She co-authored the book "Age of Sail" with Peggy Armstrong, published in 2000. She was the recipient of the prestigious Lascarbo Award presented by the Federal Government as well as being recognized by the Provincial Government for outstanding Volunteer Service. She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Ralph; daughters, Ramona (Gerald) Mitchell, Moncton, N.B.; Dorothy (Richard) Boudreau, Port Royal; granddaughter and great-granddaughter and great-grandson. Funeral service will be held 3 p.m. Tuesday in Habitation Baptist Church, Port Royal, with Rev. Mark Baker officiating. Interment will be in Wadeville Cemetery, Granville Centre.
