Mrs. Sweet was born in 1936 in Frederick County, Virginia, the daughter of the late Callie D. and Daisy Ruth Baker. She was a homemaker. Mrs. Sweet was a member of Boyce Baptist Church and a member of Winchester Eagles Aerie #824. Mrs. Sweet married John L. Sweet on February 14, 1960 in Boyce, Virginia. Surviving with her husband of forty- nine years; is three daughters, Katherine Danner of Front Royal, Virginia, Pamela Herbaugh of White Post, Virginia and Alison Strowbridge of Winchester, Virginia; a son, John D. Sweet of Wythville, Virginia; nine grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; one great great-grandchild; and a sister, June Frame of Boyce, Virginia. A funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Wednesday at Omps Funeral Home, South Chapel with the Pastor Trey Hensley III of Faith Baptist Church officiating. Interment will be in Shenandoah Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Lee Danner, Jerry Herbaugh, Robert Baker, Hunter Strowbridge, Scott Peer and Matt Sweet.
