He was manager of the city in 1952, auditor from 1945 to 1948 and served for a number of years as clerk of the former Portsmouth Municipal Court. Mr. Fenwick was born in St. John's New Brunswick, Sept. 27, 1880, and had lived in Portsmouth for more than 70 years. He was employed at the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard as chief clerk, retiring in 1944 and was a member of the Portsmouth Kiwanis Club. Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Elisabeth Seavey Fenwick; a son, Marston S. Fenwick of Portsmouth; a sister, Miss Amy Fenwick of North Hampton; five grandchildren and one great-grandson."
