Born in Amherst he was a son of the late Wendell and Ethel (Pettigrew) Langille. Newton had spent most of his life working as a truck driver. Surviving are his children, Allen (Karen), North River; Dennis (Rachel), Shemoque, N.B.; Carolyn (Allen) Kovalecich, Cranbrook, B.C.; three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; brother, Delbert, Ottawa. Besides his parents he was predeceased by wives, Gwen and Barbara; his children's mother and former wife, Cecilia (Langill); brothers, Austin, Brent and Ivan; sisters, Beatrice and Gladys.
