Mrs. George was born April 4, 1956 in Garden City, New York, the daughter of Karl and Janet (Steele) Jurson. She was raised and educated in New York. She later moved to Washington, N. H before moving to Meredith twenty-five years ago. Mrs. George was employed by the State of New Hampshire for thirty years where she was a mental health worker for transitional housing. She worked at the Laconia State School from 1977 to 1995 and then transferred to the Concord State Hospital. She retired in 2007. Mrs. George was a "Garfield" collector and was an avid Red Sox Fan Survivors include her husband of thirty years, Ralph E. George, of Meredith; a son, Karl Ryan George, of Meredith; a brother, K. Philip Jurson, of Holton, Maine; a sister, Karen Jurson, of Gulfport, Florida and seven nephews and nieces. Memorial calling hours will be held on Saturday, March 22, 2008 from 1:00-3:00PM in the Carriage House of the Wilkinson-Beane Funeral Home, 164 Pleasant Street, Laconia, N.H. According to Mrs. George's wishes there will be no funeral service. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the New Hampshire Humane Society, PO Box 572, Laconia, N.H. 03247 or to the American Diabetes Association, Manchester, NH Office, 249 Canal Street, Manchester, N.
