A graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday at Elmwood Memorial Park, directed by Abilene Funeral Home. Mrs. Lambert was born on August 6, 1929, in Denton Valley, Texas to Eli and Martha Sloan. She had been a resident of Abilene since 1945, moving to Bangs in 2007. she was a member of the Church of Christ. Survivors include a son, Charles M. Lambert and wife, Teresa of Abilene; three daughters, Gwen Register and husband, Bill North of Abilene, Paula Eve Hewitt and husband, Tommy of Hawley and Cathy Hawthorn and husband, Leland of Van, Texas; eight grandchildren; and four great grandchildren. Mrs. Lambert was preceded in death by her husband, Charles T. Lambert, Jr., her parents, four brothers and seven sisters.
