Obituary: Charles T. Lambert, Jr., 75, died Tuesday, July 24, 2001, at a local hospital. Graveside services will be 10 a.m. Thursday in Elmwood Memorial Park with Marion O. Eversdyk officiating, directed by Abilene Funeral Home, 3349 N. 12th Street.
Mr. Lambert was born March 22, 1926, in Lueders. He married Eva Pearl Sloan on July 3, 1947, in Abilene. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of WWII. Mr. Lambert was a U.S. Postal Service employee until his retirement and a member of the Church of Christ.
Survivors include his wife, Eva Pearl Lambert of Abilene; a son, Michael Lambert of Hawley; three daughters, Gwen North of Abilene, Paula Hewitt of Hawley and Cathy Hawthorn of Odessa; a sister, Sibyl Sherrill of Kermit; eight grandchildren; and six great- grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 7 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
