  • Obituary: Ruth Pauline Baltzer, 77, of 43 School Street, Annapolis Royal, died on May 2, 1999 in the New Halifax Infirmary, QEII. Born in Falmouth*, she was a daughter of the later Arthur Gordon Sangster and Ella Grace (Lawrence) Sangster. She was an active member of St. Luke's Anglican Church and its guilds, including the alter guild. She was a member of the choir and secretary of the St. Alban's Cemetery. She belonged to the hospital auxiliary, participated in Meals on Wheels, the IODE and the ecumenical choir. She was secretary of the Annapolis Royal Elementary School. She is survived by a son, Clyde (Susan), Clementsvale; daughter Susan (Mrs. Allen Puxley), Charlottetown; five grandchildren; brother, Charles, Grand Pre; a number of nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Clyde Lamont. The funeral was held in St. Luke's Anglican Church, Annapolis Royal, with Rev. Edwin Ebsary officiating. Burial was in Woodlawn Cemetery. Donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
