He had been a life resident of Bass River, where he was a well known carpenter and former employee of the Dominion Chair Company, Bass River. Surviving are daughters, Linda (Mrs. Logan Elliott), Economy; Dianne Ryan, Yvonne Hazel, Peggy Gamble, all of Bass River; son, Dennis, Bass River; brother, Herman, Little Bass River; sisters, Madeline Gamble, Charlotte MacFarlane, both of Truro; 15 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandchild. He was predeceased by his wife, the former Clara Pauline Knight; son, Ralph; brothers, Norman, Lawson; grandson, Keith Gamble. Funeral 2 p.m. today in Bass River Baptist Church, Rev. Roger Moore officiating. Burial in Bass River Baptist Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to Canadian Cancer Society, Bass River Baptist Church or any charity. Arrangements entrusted to Mattatall Funeral Home, Truro.
