He owned and operated Provincial Electric Limited for 25 years, retiring in 1969. He was actively involved with the Electric Service League and Electrical Contractors Association, serving a term as president. He was a former member of the board of trade of the Illuminating Enginering Society; longtime member of Chester Golf Club and Maritime Seniors Golf Association. He founded Sunset Bowling League in 1949 and was a member at the time of his death. He was a member of Bethany United Church. Surviving are his wife, Beatrice (Fader); son, Robert, daughter-in-law, Lynne (O'Flaherty) and granddaughters, Kimberley and Stephanie Legg, Halifax. He was predeceased by brothers, Clifford, Christopher, Harold, Ernest.
