  • Obituary: uneral services for Mrs. Caroline Logan were held on Monday, Nov. 6, 1961 at 2 p.m. from the Finnish Apostolic church with Rev. Arvie Isaacs officiating. Interment was in the Finnish Apostolic cemetery, Moe township. The pallbearers were: Walter Josephson, Wesley Siira, Eddie Josephson, Francis Josephson, John Mattson and Robert Logan. Mrs. Caroline E. Logan was born May 13, 1891, in Urness township, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Adam Peterson, who were pioneer residents of Douglas County. She grew to womanhood in this community and on March 11, 1910 she was united in marriage to John Logan in Minneapolis. After their marriage, Mr. and Mrs. Logan farmed in Urness township for thirty years and for the past twenty years, Mrs. Logan has made her home in Minneapolis. Mrs. Logan passed away on Thursday, Nov. 2nd, 1961, having been hospitalized for several years. She is survived by five sons: John, Lester and George of Minneapolis; Ernest of Lowry and Milton of Virginia, Minn.; three daughters: Ellen Elberling of Duluth, Florence Wuollet and Linda Will of Minneapolis. She was preceded in death by her husband, two sons, Walter and Oscar and one daughter, Mayme. Mrs. Logan was a Gold Star Mother, having lost a son, Oscar, who served with the United States Navy in New Guinea. (Park Region Echo, Nov. 14, 1961)
