  • Obituary: HALIFAX HERALD '96 18 November 2004 ADAMS, Angus McLean - 92, Loch Broom, Pictou Co., passed away November 16, 2004, in Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow. Born in River Hebert, he was a son of the late John Simon and Margaret Nickel (Greenlaw) Adams, of Scotland. Angus was Captain of the Canadian Dredge & Dock for several years, working in all the Atlantic provinces, Quebec and Ontario. Upon returning to Loch Broom, he worked as Road Foreman for the Department of Highways until retirement. He then spent his time with his wife, Eva, and youngest son, Jackie. He is survived by son, Alexander "Sandy", United States; daughter, Thelma Jean "Jeannie" Langille, Bayview; grandchildren, Jimmie, Peggy, Shelly and Scott; seven great-grandchildren; sister, Helen Young, Loch Broom. He was predeceased by his wife, the former Eva E. MacCabe; sons, Scott M. and John "Jackie"; brothers, Andrew, John; sisters, Margaret, Elsie Jones and Jean Murdock. Cremation has taken place. No visitation or funeral by request. A private graveside service will be held Monday, November 22, in Heatherdale Memorial Gardens with Rev. Barbara Fotheringham officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of McLaren Funeral Service, Pictou.
