  • Obituary: The News BAY VIEW – The passing of Thelma Jean (Adams) Langille, 57, of Bay View, N.S., occurred on September 10, 2007, at Glen Haven Manor in New Glasgow. Jeannie was born on July 4, 1950, in Truro N.S., she was the daughter of the late Angus and Eva (MacCabe) Adams, of Loch Broom, N.S. Jeannie is survived by son, Jimmie; grandchildren: Brittany, Nathan, and Seth; and her brother, Sandy. She was predeceased by her husband, Jim; and brothers, Scott and Jackie. In her day, Jeannie was an avid outdoors person who shared a passion for hunting big game. She fished the waters of the Northumberland Strait for lobster both with her husband and after his passing. Special thanks from the family is extended to friends and neighbours for their visits and kindness. An expression of deep gratitude goes to sister-in-law and close friend, Debbie White, who devoted so much time and compassion as Jeannie’s illness progressed. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of McLaren Funeral Home, Pictou. Graveside committal service to take place at 11 a.m. Friday, September 14, at Heatherdale Memorial Gardens on Alma Road in Sylvester, with Rev. Barb Fotheringham officiating. Reception to follow at the home of Marion Langille, 728 Glen Road, Bay View.
