  • Obituary: lara Edna Buckler, 69, Tatamagouche, died July 15, 2003 in Tatamagouche Hospital. Born in Tatamagouche she was the daughter of the late BELDON & GRACE(MOODY)JOUDRIE. Clara worked for several years at Willow Lodge, Tatamagouche and in recent years cared for the elderly in her home. She was a member of Sedgewick Memorial Presbyterian Church, Tatamagouche and a choir member. She was president of the Canadian Legion Branch Auxilliary, branch 64, Tatamagouche and was involved in the restoration of the Tarbot School in Barrachois. She liked to help with the legion bingo and organize church suppers as well as quilting and baking. Surviving are her children, Allan, Tatamagouche; Robert McDougall, Sackville; Vaughn,Tatamagouche; Emily Marynowski,Halifax; grandchildren, Vicki, Todd,Tom, Andy, Scott, Sarah, Brandi, and Toni; great grandchildren, Kaleb, Cody, and Abbey; brothers Trueman(MaryJane, Tatamagouche; Henry(Norma)Lindsay,Ontario; sisters Viola MacBurnie, Tatamagouche; Phyllis Cameron(Ron)Tatamagouche; Jessie Laurie(Jim)Tatamagouche; Hilda Connolly,Vancouver; many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by brothers Stanley and Rosevil, her husband Clarence"Bill" Buckler. The Legion will conduct a funeral service at Coulter's funeral Home at 5:30pm Thursday. Funeral service will be held 2:30pm Friday July 18 in Sedgewick Memorial Presbyterian Church with Rev H Martyn Van Essen & Rev Gordon Matheson officiating.
