Born in Waldegrave, he was the son of the late Eliakim and Catherine (Stevenson) Buckler. He attended the People's Church. He was a former building inspector and construction superintendent. He is survived by his wife, the former Vera Mingo; two daughters, Shirley (Mrs. William Buchanan), Ottawa; and Eileen (Mrs. Geogre) Gillian), Renfrew, Ont.; four sons, Ronald, Bible Hill; Lawrence, Dartmouth; David, Truro; and Gerald, Spryfield; a sister, Mrs. Margaret Mattatall, Tatamagouche; two brothers, George, Quincy, Mass.; and Charles, Halifax; 11 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by two brothers, Samuel and John. The body is at the Mattatall Funeral Home, Truro. Funeral service will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. in the People's Church, Rev.
