Lillian Carter of Truro, NS, formerly of East Leicester, NS was welcomed into Heaven on Monday 23 July, 2018. Lillian was born 25 December 1925 in Oxford, NS to Benjamin and Florence Myatt. After her public school education, she attended Eastern Nazarene College in Quincy, Mass. She returned home and married Delbert C. Carter on 23 November 1949. Delbert was posted several times with the Canadian Armed Forces and Lillian followed and worked for several years in clerical positions in Ottawa, ON. Lillian is survived by her husband Delbert of 68 years, her two daughters, Patricia (David Taylor) of Sussex, NB and Nancy (David Haner) of Truro, NS and her sister Elizabeth (Betty) Harroun of Amherst, NS. She will be missed by her 4 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, and a host of friends. Lillian was predeceased by her brother Lawrence "Mike", sister Thelma and brother Reginald "Reg". A Celebration of Life service for Lillian Carter will be held at the Oxford Baptist Church at 2:00pm Friday 27 July preceded by visitation from 1:00 to 2:00. Family flowers only please. A private family committal service will follow. Memorial gifts may be made to The Heart and Stroke Foundation or the charity of the donor's choice.
