  • Obituary: February 03, 1944 - November 27, 2014 Warwick, John Wilmot - 70, West Leicester, Cumberland County passed away at home with his family by his side on Thursday, November 27, 2014. Born in Tatamagouche, he was a son of the late Wilmot and Ruth (Terry) Warwick. Growing up on Warwick Mountain, John was a real nature boy at heart, he loved all things in the outdoors, including trees, fish, horses and dogs. John worked in the lumber industry all his life. John worked at the Maritime Lumber Bureau, then formed a lumber drying business called Tiger Timber. He was well liked by everyone he ever met, he loved his family and never complained about life. John is survived by his wife of 47 years, the former Vivian Lowther, son Deiter (Krista), Oxford; grandchildren, Bethany, Brianna, and Brandon; brothers, William "Bill" (Sandra Jarvis), and Dickson, both of Truro; sister-in-law, Nickie Warwick, Windsor, ON; several nieces, nephews and cousins. Beside his parents he was predeceased by brother, James and grandson, Gary Warwick. A visitation to celebrate John's life will be held from 1-4 p.m. Monday, December 1 in MacDiarmid's Funeral Home, 5075 Main Street, Oxford (902-447-2930). Donations may be made to Cumberland Regional Palliative Care or to the Little River Baptist Church memorial fund.
